May 7, 2019 | Chris Sargent The Village to Village project was delighted to have 9 girls from the Danville Girl Scouts troop contribute their ideas to the wayfinding piece of the project! They each drew a picture of what they thought was the most important part of their community, then they worked together in small groups to make posters that meshed all their ideas together. One group did a great picture of the view they see from Danville, and another did a picture of the Green, which included the library, the gazebo, trees with sap buckets, and all their neighbors. Another focused on the downtown area with all the local businesses. They all had different aspects of the town represented. Some of the key destinations identified by the Girl Scouts include: Pope Library Danville Green (Picnic Tables, Gazebo, Water station, War memorial) Bentley’s Marty’s Methodist Church Barrel To Bottle Three Ponds Sugar Ridge Danville School…and school playground Creamery Azelea Sun Town Hall Danville Inn Post Office Take our Two-Question Survey What are your thoughts?
